Many times when we think about Evansville Animal Control and other shelters in the Tri-State, we picture animals like dogs and cats, maybe the occasional rabbit. For instance, I've seen pigs, ferrets, guinea pigs, and goats end up in local shelters, but none have had a name quite this punny!

Meet Wyatt Chirp

Every week the Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office and Evansville Police Department post a rescue roundup, where they share a photo of an officer with an adoptable animal from Evansville Animal Control, to help get the word out. This week's rescue is a rooster with an outlaw name that made me laugh out loud.
