Remember when you were a kid and couldn't wait to grow up and get a job so you could buy whatever you wanted? Then you grew up, got that job, and quickly realized it's not that simple. Yes, you finally had some of your own money, but buying whatever you wanted wasn't as easy as it seemed because it turned out the stuff you wanted, like your own house, a car, etc., was really expensive. That's when you learned the hard way that you have to budget the money you do have in order to get those things. If you struggle with that part, it's OK, many full-grown adults do. That's why Evansville Promise Zone is once again offering their free "Fair Shot: Financial Education for the Entire Family" classes starting March 26th.

The program will offer two different classes, "Budgeting & Banking," as well as "Credit & Home Ownership" with Budgeting & Banking available on the following Tuesdays; March 26th, April 30th, June 5th, June 24th, July 23rd, and Credit & Home Ownership available on the following Thursdays; March 28th, May 2nd, June 7th, June 26th, and July 25th.

All classes will take place at the the Browning Room at Central Library in downtown Evansville from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., and is open to both adults and children in 3rd grade or older. The classes are free to attend, however advanced registration is required which you can do online now, or by e-mailing office@HOPEofEvansville.org.
