What's a more iconic summer treat than ice cream? Well, here are the best ice cream shops in the Evansville area!

Ice cream is the perfect snack for summertime. Whether it be a soft serve in a cone, a milkshake, a parfait, or a sundae, you really can't go wrong with ice cream this time of year. Personally, I am a basic guy when it comes to ice cream. Just give me vanilla or birthday cake flavor, and I am happy. Just writing this makes me want a birthday cake batter milkshake. In any event, when it comes to the best flavor of ice cream to order, it's all pretty subjective. We'll leave that discussion for a different time.

When it comes to getting ice cream, there are so many options in the Evansville area. We're talking about national, regional, and local ice cream shops, along with several food trucks in the area that offer amazing ice cream creations. So, I was curious, what are the best places to get ice cream in the Evansville area? After a search of the area on Yelp, I have found (what at least Yelp says) are the best ice cream shops around.

Evansville Area's Top 10 Best Ice Cream Shops According to Yelp

Before we get into the list, I should mention a couple of things. First things first, I limited this list to only local ice cream shops. Sorry, DQ and Cold Stone. Trying to keep it super local here. Secondly, the list originally featured Logan's Soft Serve in Haubstadt. However, that establishment closed in 2024. Now that we've got that information out of the way, let's check out the best ice cream shops in the Evansville area according to Yelp!

8. Dairiette Restaurant- 711 Atkinson St Henderson, KY

While not every local hotspot is featured on this list, that doesn't mean that they aren't worth the visit. In fact, a few of my favorites weren't featured on Yelp's Top 10.
