It's the most magical time of year! I've pretty much decided to skip over Thanksgiving and dive straight into Christmas... Twenty-five days isn't enough and I don't really care for turkey all that much anyway. I've pulled out the Christmas decorations and I'm making my lists! Here's a really fun Christmas event I'm adding to my calendar.

On November 17, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, the Evansville Museum of Arts, History & Science will host the annual Winter Festival, a free family-friendly event celebrating Winter! The day includes SANTA, hands-on activities and games for both adults and children.

Highlights of the day include: Special appearances by Santa, the Evansville Ballet, Wesselman Woods, and the Hadi Shriner’s Funsters; Musical Performances by EJ Simmons and his Friend Daniel, Cole Talsma; Artist demonstrations with Todd Derr, Ryan McKain, Holly Storley, Cynthia Watson; Vendor fair in the Old Gallery; Museum Science staff will perform science demonstrations and holidays shows in the Koch Immersive Theater; Food and drink will be available for purchase.

Admission to the Winter Festival is free to the general public and includes all Winter Festival activities, access to the Museum’s art, history & science galleries and EMTRAC next door. Tickets to the Koch Immersive Theater and Planetarium is $7 for Not-Yet Member Adults and $5 for Museum Members Adults, Youth (4-17) and Students.
