Evansville Haunted House Named One of the Best in Indiana by Scare Factor
Evansville's newest haunted attraction is already making a name for itself in the scare industry.
The Scare Factor
If you're a haunted house fan, you'll want to check out a website called The Scare Factor. They are a huge online directory of haunted houses across the United States. They not only point you to information about the haunted houses in your area, but they also often rate the haunted houses. Recently they created a countdown of the top 13 "Must See Indiana Haunts," and to be totally honest I figured the list would contain mostly Indianapolis-area haunts, just because many of these style lists focus around the biggest city in the state.
However, that wasn't the case. The Scare Factor's picks were from all over the Hoosier State, including one haunted house from right here in Evansville!

Evansville Haunted House Named a "Must See Haunt" in the Hoosier State!
When looking at the list of the 13 must-visit haunts from Indiana, the Evansville Nightmare Factory came in at number 11, which is pretty impressive considering according to The Scare Factor there are more than 80 haunted attractions across Indiana.
Here is what The Scare Factor had to say about ENF:
Evansville Nightmare Factory is another brand-new haunted attraction that takes place in a repurposed old factory. For 2024, this haunt is rekindling some pre-existing haunt characters from the area and introducing them to a new ‘home!’ Guests can expect to be split up from each other, encounter sloping floors and crawlspaces, along with phobia-targeted scare tactics.
From Humble Beginnings to a Massive Warehouse Haunt
I think the Evansville Nightmare Factory has such a cool story. It started as a humble home haunt, The Nightmare on Eastbrooke and was used as a canned food drive for local food pantries.
Eventually, Nightmare on Eastbrooke far outgrew its location in a neighborhood as a home haunt, and the folks behind it purchased a massive old warehouse and have spent the past two years transforming it into a terrifying haunted attraction.
