An Evansville family needs your help replacing their children's clothing after losing it in a fire earlier this week on the city's north side.

The fire took place Monday night near the intersection of Michigan and Garfield Streets.

14 News anchor, Jackie Monroe was on the scene.

The family in need of clothing lived next door to the house that caught fire, and had their children's winter clothes stored inside. Due to the house not belonging to them, it appears insurance will not cover the cost of replacing the clothes.

According to close family friend, Whitney Schmitt, who I contacted through Facebook after seeing her share Jackie's post, they are in need of the following items:

  • 4t or 5t Winter Clothes
  • Women's Large or XL, and size 16 pants
  • Size 10 shoes

If you have clothes you'd like to donate to the family, contact Whitney Schmitt through Facebook.
