Local Hair Stylist Runs Beauty Gives Back Campaign For Thanksgiving
Local Hair Stylist Doing Good For Her Community
One local hair stylist has been going above and beyond this holiday season. Terra Ellis, owner of Studio Twenty Two in Newburgh, ran her "Beauty Gives Back" campaign for families in need this holiday season. Offering discounts to her clients for donations, she has been quietly restocking several care boxes across the Warrick County community. Terra started her salon in 2017 with the intention to give back to her community. A single mother of two, she knows how difficult the holidays can be for those in need. Her Beauty Gives Back campaign is an ongoing project that fulfills her desire to help the community where she was born and raised. From Terra's Facebook page:
"Small acts of love make a big difference, if you’re out and about, consider dropping off a few items to your nearest community box. Together, we’re keeping hearts (and pantries) full!"
"I'm passionate about making people feel confident and cared for," said Ellis.

Pre-Packed Recipe Bags Great Idea For Giving This Season
Canned goods and non-perishable donations are always needed this time of year. Terra took a different approach that adds another layer of help to her already generous donations. She filled bags with canned goods and ingredients needed for specific recipes, then created and included recipe cards in each bag. Making the bags available at her salon for anyone in need, Terra demonstrates another great way to enhance the donations she already received, not to mention make it a little easier on those who are already struggling this time of year.
