Chris Stapleton Is ‘Doing Great’ But Sleeping Less After His Twins Arrived
Chris Stapleton and his wife recently welcomed twins, and when he spoke to reporters ahead of his performance at the CMA Fest in Nashville in June, he filled everyone in on how his family is adjusting to having two more babies in the house.
Stapleton and his wife, Morgane, welcomed twin boys in early April, and Reba McEntire broke the news live on the 2018 ACM Awards on April 15. While the couple were in Nashville celebrating their newly added family members, McEntire accepted Stapleton's Album of the Year trophy for From A Room: Vol. 1.
“Well, you know, it’s like a baby times two, so we sleep less than having one baby," Stapleton said with a chuckle (quote via Sounds Like Nashville). "But we’re doing great, they’re doing great and you know, it’s an amazing and wonderful thing.”
Stapleton and Morgane, who recently celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary, are also parents to two older children. The singer says his older kids are excited to have the twins around and are doing better than he anticipated.
“They’re super helpful and kind and sweet to them, and I’m so proud of them,” Stapleton added. “They’re doing far better than I would have expected for the loss of attention that they have received in the last few months. So they’re remarkable individuals.”
Morgane shared a sweet image of herself with her new children just days after giving birth. She also thanked the hospital staff who "kept our boys healthy & happy" after they arrived more than a month early.
In between baby duty, Stapleton continues his headlining trek across the country for his All-American Road Show Tour. The concert dates run through November.
