Annual Evansville YMCA Boxing Show Fundraiser is This Saturday

The Evansville YMCA Boxing program will host its annual "Futures Worth Fighting For" exhibition fundraiser this Saturday with proceeds benefiting the program itself, and helping provide low-income youth within the program a chance at a better life.

The program, started by Jon and Jennifer Richards in 2015, is open to young people regardless of background with a focus on using "the sweet science" to build character and teach focus.

Tickets for the event are available now at the Downtown YMCA with a cost of $12 for adults and $5 for children ages 6 to 12. Children 5 and under are free, and VIP tables for eight people are $200 and include pizza, drinks, and snacks. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., and I'll be back to serve as the ring announcer.
