Yelp Names One Indiana Spot Among Best New Restaurants in America
One new Indiana restaurant is among the best in America, according to Yelp.
Indiana has a lot of great restaurants that have been open for years. These restaurants have become staples in that area where people must go whenever they are in town. They are restaurants that can even become bucket-list places to dine at. Whether it be comfort food, burgers, fried chicken, seafood, Italian, Mexican, steakhouses, or any other type of restaurant, there are certain places that stand out among the rest.
Likewise, we always have new restaurants in Indiana that are always popping up. I'm not talking about new chain restaurants adding new locations in the Hoosier State. No, I'm talking about locally owned eateries that you can only find in Indiana. Yelp just published its Best New Restaurants 2025 list, and the 25 joints featured all have plenty to give to their customers. Out of all the possibilities, one new restaurant in Indiana made this honorable list.

Coming in on this list as the fourth-best new restaurant in America is an Indianapolis hub for sports fans and foodies alike. Commission Row is located just steps away from Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, and is the newest addition to Cunningham Restaurant Group’s (CRG) expanding culinary empire.
Yelp had a lot to say about what makes Commission Row one of the best new restaurants in America. Check it out below:
Commission Row is part of a sprawling, three-level dining and entertainment complex. Its culinary team — helmed by Executive Chef Adan Sandoval, who has been with CRG for 14 years and whose brother Roman Sandoval is the executive chef at fellow CRG Indy eatery Union 50 — turns out such favorites as Wagyu Meatballs “jam-packed with flavor,” Lobster Bisque brimming with “buttery goodness,” seafood towers, chops, and what some call “the best steak I’ve ever had.” It’s all in “a stunning location, with floor-to-ceiling windows and local artists’ works. It’s upscale but still comfortable,” says Executive General Manager Ian Saroyan. Swing by the basement speakeasy, Mel’s, for “gorgeous ambiance and robust drinks” with clever names like A Chipmunk Stole My Car and Sorry for Cussing.
