The Women's Club of Newburgh recently announced they have $1,000 scholarships available to Warrick County students seeking a higher education.

There are three $1,000 scholarships available to students based on leadership, scholarship, and community service.

Awards will be given to candidates based on academics, extracurricular participation, community involvement, work experience, and character. An essay will be required with the application.

Applications are available in the guidance offices of Castle High School, Boonville High School, Tecumseh High School, Evansville Day School, Signature School, and Memorial High School.  Applications can also be requested by calling 812-853-2631 or at womensclubofnewburgh.org.  March is the deadline for all applications and can be submitted to the school guidance counselor or mailed to the Women's Club of Newburgh,  P.O. Box 174, Newburgh, IN  47629.
