USI Looks to Find Next Great Business With Shark Tank Like Competition, Where YOU Can Be an Investor (and It’s Free)!

Ever Wanted to be a Shark on Shark Tank?  At USI this Saturday You'll Have Your Chance to join in on this Shark Tank-esque competition, but being an "investor" and help choosing which teams get to advance to the finals to fight for  the real investment of $20,000! 

BIZCOM is hosting the  BIZCOM semi-finals which will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the USI Griffin Center.  It's a fun free event, where you can go and watch 8 start up businesses (all of them have USI students on them) compete for the chance at a $20,000 prize!

And you're in on the competition as well! Each member of the audience is given an envelope of investor "money", you'll listen to all of the teams pitch their ideas, and "invest" in the startup business you like most.   It's kind of like Shark Tank, only you get to be a shark! The audience "investors" help BIZCOM choose which teams will advance for the shot at the $20,000 prize!

This fun, free event starts at 11:00 at USI's Griffin Center.  There will be free food starting at 11, and the startup businesses begin pitching their ideas shortly after.
