Summer is supposed to be over, right? I mean, we sent the Summer of 2019 off with Labor Day Weekend like we do every year, so now it's time to break out the jackets, sweatshirts, and enjoy pumpkin spice everything, right? RIGHT?!?! Apparently not.

Technically, Summer isn't officially done for another couple of weeks with the first official day of Fall set for September 23rd, so it looks like it's going to give us a few more hot punches to the gut before it finally rides off into the sunset for a few months.

According to the National Weather Service in Paducah, the forecast is calling for temperatures in the low-to-mid 90's through Thursday with "A strong area of high pressure" that will let that humid air we've come to know all to well here in the Tri-State just sit on top of us like a steamed towel, pushing the heat index to near 100 degrees each day.

If your job requires you to be outside for extended periods of time, or you have children who play outdoor sports, make sure to drink plenty of water and take as many breaks as possible in shaded areas to keep yourself from overheating.
