I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure this is how the movie "The Terminator" began. There is now technology that will allow you to control your tractor with your phone. Where's John Connor when you need him?

I saw this one single sentence shared by CNET on YouTube and I knew I had to find out more:

Farmers will soon be controlling their tractors with their phones.

Really? Grab some popcorn and enjoy a farmer-less tractor.

I did some digging (no farmer planting pun intended) and learned that John Deere bought a company called Bear Flag Robotics for $250 million a few years ago. This is likely the result of that.

John Deere is not alone in their robotic thoughts. As far back as 5 years ago, Case IH had their own concept tractor on display.

Are you in favor of a tractor that's 100% automated? I have so many farmers in my family in this area and I'm curious how they feel about this. As for me, I'm gonna refer back to the Terminator movies when Skynet becomes self-aware as why I'm cautious about this kind of technology.
