Budweiser of Brazil has created a new pint cup that automatically links your Facebook page with anyone you clink glasses with when you toast or cheers in a bar. Really...are you kidding me? I don't know about you, but this doesn't sound like the greatest idea in the world. Do you really want total strangers having access to your page and wall? Even though your profile might be public, the stuff on your wall is likely just for those people you actually know and wanted to 'friend'. This just kinda feels like 'big brother' to me.

Let's say someone wants you to friend them on Facebook and for whatever reason, you don't. If they know you hang out at a particular bar, they can be there and see if you have a buddy cup, clink your glass and BOOM, they become your newest FB friend. Sounds a little creepy to me.

Budweiser sees this as a great way to meet new people and make a connection before you ever leave the bar. This also makes it a little less awkward than asking people about being friends on FB - just clink your glasses and it's done for you.

If this makes it to the U.S., and I suspect it will, I for one will keep a very close eye on anyone trying to clink my glass. Really, who wants to walk into a bar with friend, spouse or S.O. and leave with 200 new Facebook friends? See how the cup works in the below video.
