You think you've seen a lot of tornadoes in Illinois already in 2024, right? Well, you've never seen anything like what the world's worst time traveler just predicted. It's a twister set to hit in December that is powered by lightning and moves 800 mph. 1.21 Gigawatts!
I could say that I've found a shocking moment to share with you, but that would overload my pun meter. It truly is an awesome sight as there's a short, but sweet video of lightning striking the Gateway Arch in St. Louis with a massive charge of 300 million volts.
If you blink, you can miss a lightening strike. It's much easier to take in the awesome power of these sky bolts when it's slowed down to 10,000 frames-per-second which is what a photographer in St. Louis did yesterday as thunderstorms moved through the metro area.
