Southern Indiana Dad Dies a Hero Saving his Son: Hindostan Falls

Kevin and his wife Sarah were enjoying nature with their children last Sunday. They were at Hindostan Falls in Martin County Indiana, which is a state fishing and recreation area. It's about 90 minutes from Evansville, near Shoals, Indiana.

Their trip turned into tragedy when one of their sons was caught in a fast-moving current. Kevin immediately jumped into the falls and saved him. Unfortunately, Kevin did not survive.

I cannot even imagine what his wife and kids are going through right now. My heart is breaking for them. Sarah and the rest of Kevin's family and friends could certainly use prayers. Kevin Marchal definitely died a hero by sacrificing his own life to save his son.

This Donation is in the name of the surviving family of Kevin Marchal. Kevin’s life was tragically cut short on June 25, 2023 while his family visited a river falls in central Indiana. Kevin quickly responded when his middle child became overwhelmed by a fast moving current, and ultimately sacrificed his life in rescuing his near-drowning child. Kevin leaves behind his loving wife, Sarah Marchal, and three children (ages 3, 8, and 10). We are asking for funds to aid the Marchal family during this extremely difficult time and to support future expenses.
