2023 will mark the 5th anniversary of the pavilion at the Owensboro Regional Farmers' Market and organizers are gearing up for an exciting season ahead.

Can you believe it was five years ago that the market unveiled that pavilion, which completely enhanced the market's look and feel.

The structure was constructed in 2018 and continues to allow for an incredible, covered, open air shopping experience.  And it's nearly time to be back underneath it for the 2023 season, which officially gets underway on Saturday, April 15th.

Plans are still in the works and being finalized for the upcoming season, but there are a few things we can preview. We know that Thursday Nights at the Market will be coming back this summer. So will Owensboro Health Regional Hospital's Food, Art & Health Days.

Of course, the Owensboro Regional Farmers' Market routinely has live entertainment lined up as well and, this June, will highlight ensembles from the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra. That's certainly something to look out and listen for.

Independence Bank will be back sponsoring events as well. In years past, the bank has sponsored some fun 4th of July and Back to School events at the market.

And here's some exciting news. The Owensboro Regional Farmers' Market just announced a brand new Market Manager for the 2023 season. She's Mary Beth Alexander, who's a longtime customer of the Farmers' Market and Booth Representative for the delicious Niko's Bakery booth.

Mary Beth says, "I am excited to welcome returning vendors, new vendors and the community to the 2023 market season!"

I mentioned this is the 5th anniversary of the ORFM pavilion, but it's the 40th anniversary season for the market and the start of it is just around the corner.
