These are the Top Ten Indiana Cities with the Best Weather
A recent study revealed the top ten Indiana cities with the best weather, and honestly, it's most likely going to surprise you.
After all of the frigid cold temperatures and snow that we received here in Indiana over winter, many (like me) were eagerly awaiting summertime. Now that summer is upon us, we are experiencing a lot of heat and humidity. Honestly, it makes me wish that it was cooler outside. However, I'm a happy-medium type of person. I don't want it really cold, and I certainly don't want it nearly this hot and humid. I just want nice and comfortable weather. Surely, you'd agree with that statement.

Speaking of nice weather, I just saw a recent study from Home Snacks, where the publication found the top ten cities in Indiana with the best weather. But how does one determine something like that? Well, luckily, Home Snacks broke down how the top ten was determined:
To rank the most fair weather cities in Indiana, we used Saturday Night Science and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) database, to see which cities in the Hoosier State get the best weather.
We used the following criteria to find the best weather:
- Number of sunny days
- Highest average low
- Average high deviation from 70 degrees
- Least amount of rain
- Least amount of snow
We ranked each city of over 10,000 people in Indiana from best to worst on each criterion. We then averaged each ranking into a weather quality index.
These are the Top Ten Indiana Cities with the Best Weather
Given all of that information, which cities in Indiana offer the best weather? Here's what Home Snacks' data revealed:
- Jeffersonville
- Lafayette
- New Albany
- Clarksville
- Evansville
- Terre Haute
- Washington
- Vincennes
- West Lafayette
- Jasper
As someone from the Evansville area, I was certainly surprised to see Evansville on this list. I've always felt that the weather in this area is so temperamental. You can get all four seasons in one week, and that's not even a joke. I'm sure it is like that in other parts of the state too.
That being said, how do you feel about this ranking? Do you live in any of these cities? I'm especially curious to hear from Jeffersonville folks about how the weather is there on average.
