When I first ran across Oliver Anthony Music on TikTok, I was immediately intrigued. I've been listening to his music since the beginning, and I've enjoyed every tune that he's thrown at fans. Most recently, the artist was spotted hanging out in Indiana at an off-road park before a concert at White River State Park in Indianapolis. The singer-songwriter looked like he was having a fantastic time and took to social media to capture the moment.

Who is Oliver Anthony?

Christopher Anthony Lunsford was born and raised in Virginia, where he still lives with his wife and two children. “Oliver Anthony Music” is a dedication to his grandfather, whose name was “Oliver Anthony." According to Rolling Stone, Lunsford went from a totally unknown artist to the top of the charts in a period of just two weeks with "Rich Men North of Richmond" in 2023. The singer-songwriter released a full album in March 2024 called Hymnal of a Troubled Man's Mind and is now on his "Out of the Woods" world tour.

Oliver Anthony Music at Badlands Off Road Park

I suppose there are a number of ways one can get ready for a big concert, but this one might be the most unique approach yet. Lunsford recently stopped by Badlands Off Road Park, located in Fountain County, Indiana, to enjoy the park's 1,400 acres of multi-directional, diverse terrain. He posted pictures on social media, and given the amount of dirt that covered the artist, I would say they were taken after his off-road adventure.

After trading his tour bus for an ATV, I'm sure Lunsford obtained enough adrenaline for his upcoming show. Personally, I wonder how many people saw the guy while enjoying their own off-road excursion and if they knew who they were sharing the dirt pathways with. It just goes to show that you never know who you might run into when out and about in the Hoosier State.

The Best Oliver Anthony Songs — His Entire Catalog, Ranked

A chronological listen of Oliver Anthony's songs shows a longterm effort to massage the themes present in "Rich Men of North Richmond." Fans will also find he's capable of so much more than being a blue collar folk hero.

The best Oliver Anthony songs are dynamic and complete. They also hold true to the buoyant optimism he speaks of during candid conversations on his YouTube page. Hope isn't always present, however — tracks released in late summer 2022 find the Virginia-raised singer on a dark path, singing of heartbreak and suicide. You can hear and see (if there's video) the strains of life across his face.

Taste of Country ranked all 16 songs Anthony has released so far. Most are cell phone recordings, but we didn't hold a lack of production quality against him. Instead, each song is rated based on strength of message, originality and overall appeal. "Rich Men ..." ranks third, which is not a criticism of his debut hit as much as it is praise of two other mostly unheard-of songs.

Country Stars React to Post Malone's New Country Music

It's not enough to say country stars are supportive of Post Malone's genre-blending new album. Everyone we asked to react to the new music praised the pop-crossover artist and then took time to explain why.

This isn't polite adulation. Below you'll find honest responses from eight stars who've worked with him or watched as he broached the topic of a country album. They're young and old, progressive and traditional. Unless noted, all quotes came from interviews with Taste of Country.
