Coffee is quite literally the fuel that keeps my ADHD brain moving in the right direction and one of my favorite local places to enjoy a caffeinated beverage (and a gourmet waffle!) has just opened its new location.

A New Location In a Familiar Spot

Zac and Jessica Parsons, owners of Honey Moon Coffee Co., made the big announcement on social media back in December that they had just purchased a new location along the riverfront in Newburgh that has been a favorite place for locals for years.

Buying the Building

The couple signed the purchase papers back in December for the building that once housed Ben & Penny's, a longtime ice cream shop in Newburgh. In December they said in a post to social media,

We want to formally thank Ben and Penny for their years of service on the Ohio River providing tasty treats for downtown Newburgh and those who walk the riverfront trail. We hope to be able to continue your legacy for many years into the future.
And for those in the downtown Newburgh area hoping for a local coffee shop to return, we invite you to join us in the spring for a grand opening and a new option to #fillthespace with your friends, family, colleagues, or creativity.

A Labor of Love

There has been a lot of construction, hard labor, sweat, and I would imagine even some tears, over the last six months as the renovations morphed the former Ben & Penny's slowly but surely into the newest Honey Moon.

Adding Ice Cream

I have really enjoyed watching the progress unfold in photos shared on Honey Moon Coffee Co's Facebook page over the last several months. I was especially excited when I learned that the coffee shop has added ice cream to the menu as well. And it isn't just any ol' ice cream either - they will be scooping Graeter's Ice Cream, all the way from Cincinnati, Ohio.

...we’re proudly featuring Cincinnati’s world famous Graeter's Ice Cream!
And who knows… maybe we’ll just go ahead and start scooping Graeter’s premium ice cream in cups and cones from here on out.

Now Open

The all-new, Honey Moon location just held its soft opening and you can stop in to visit them at 20 West Water Street in Newburgh, Indiana.

Find The Other Honey Moon Locations

In addition to the new location in Newburgh, you can also find Honey Moon Coffee Co. at one of their two Evansville locations at either 612 South Weinbach Avenue or 1211 Tutor Lane, just off Burkhardt Road. And of course, you can find them online too.
