New Evansville Tropicana Casino Set To Open Today – Get a Sneak Peek Inside

On Monday morning at 5:59am, the first riverboat casino in Indiana closed its doors forever. But, this morning at 10 AM the brand new land-based casino will open its doors to the public.

Last night, my husband and I were invited to attend the soft opening and see inside the casino. Wow, it's very glitzy! There were two full service bars - one was a lounge and one craft brew bar. The stage is set above the main bar which is pretty cool. There is also a deli area to get coffee, snacks, sandwiches and more.

My favorite part was the showgirls. They were super cute in their green headdresses! I don't think they'll be a fixture at the Tropicana but they were a nice touch for opening night.
