National Weather Service Warning of Extremely Low Temps this Week
This morning, I was so happy that I was able to just wear my nice warm sweater when I took my daughter to the bus stop. I didn't need my parka! But, that's about to change...
The National Weather Service in Paducah released this statement about this week's upcoming temperatures:

Illinois, southwest Indiana, western Kentucky, and southeast
Missouri.
JAN 28, 2019
Subzero wind chills are forecast late tonight, mainly along the
Interstate 64 corridor of southern Illinois and southwest Indiana.
Near zero to lower single digit wind chills are anticipated
across the rest of the region.
Minor river flooding continues. Refer to the warnings and statements
for details.
JAN 28-FEB 3, 2019
Subzero wind chills are forecast for all or part of the region
each morning Tuesday through Thursday.
Minor river flooding is forecast to continue. Refer to the warnings
and statements for details.
So, what does this mean. Here, let my iPhone summarize for you. It's going to be 8 flippin' degrees as a high. BRR. BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. But, after that we will get up to 56 degrees. Heck, that's almost swimsuit weather!
And, if you haven't already figured this out, when it gets that cold out, BRING YOUR PETS INSIDE. Seriously, be a good human.
