It's not uncommon to spot wild animals when you visit a park, especially when that park is the Bluegrass Fish & Wildlife Area in Warrick County. I mean, "wildlife" is in the name, so there's a pretty good chance you're going to see at least one wild animal. Most likely, those animals would be rabbits, squirrels, and maybe the occasional deer, not a white horse. But, that's exactly what happened on Sunday afternoon.

Officials with Warrick County Animal Control are hoping to find the owner of a white mustang found wandering near the area of Klippel and New Harmony Roads around the Bluegrass Fish & Wildlife Area over the weekend.

Animal Control didn't provide any additional details as to who first found the horse or when exactly it was first spotted when they shared pictures of the animal in a Facebook post on Sunday afternoon. However, according to our media partners at Eyewitness News who spoke with officials, the horse comes from the Bureau of Land Management, which handles the adoption of wild horses.

As you can see from the photos shared by Animal Control, the horse has a yellow mane and tail, and what looks to be a branded mark on the side of its neck that is hidden by its mane.

If you are the owner or have any information on who the owner may be, officials with Animal Control are asking you to call Warrick County Dispatch at 812-897-1200!
