We're talking fireworks over rivers, fireworks over lakes, drone shows, parades, concerts with big headliners, and enough food trucks to feed a small army.

Soundbath at Wesselman's Park — Special July 4th Edition

A special early-morning gathering offering a moment of stillness before the day's cookouts, fireworks, and festivities. Guests are invited to bring a mat, blanket, pillow, or journal and relax in a calm, meditative atmosphere; children are welcome if comfortable sitting quietly or resting. Park in the lot across from the Nature Center unless it is full. Free, by donation.
Fireworks on the Ohio Presented by Bally's Evansville

Evansville's largest public fireworks celebration returns, this year marking America's 250th birthday. The free event features 25+ food trucks, free face painting, yard games, a patriotic photo point, and a performance from the Evansville Youth Music Collective. Kids' activities and food trucks open at 6 p.m., with the fireworks display beginning around 9:15 p.m.

Celebrate Independence Day with exclusive access to the Museum and its back lawn, one of the best spots in the city for fireworks viewing. Warrick County celebrates America's 250th birthday with 40 local organizations parading through Historic Downtown Newburgh. The parade route begins at Titzer Funeral Home, heads east on Jennings, then north on State St. to the Newburgh Museum. All proceeds benefit local museums, including the Newburgh Museum, Warrick County Museum, and Museum of the Coal Industry.

Historic Newburgh Inc. presents a patriotic celebration along the riverfront featuring live music all afternoon and evening, including Dreamstreet and Happy New Month Band in the Amphitheater, plus additional performances around town. Food trucks, a 21+ Beer Garden hosted by the American Legion, and free kids' activities, including balloon twists, round out the day. The celebration builds to "Fireworks Over the Burgh" at dusk.
Newburgh 250 Jubilee Celebration — Car Show

Display your car as part of America's 250 car show during the Newburgh 250 Jubilee Celebration. The event also features live music, a food truck festival, a beer garden, family activities, and a front-row seat to "Fireworks Over the Burgh" at sunset. Pre-registration is $20; door prizes and awards are included. Car show registrants who signed up by June 15 received a free t-shirt.

The grand fireworks display was moved to Sunday this year to serve as the official preview night for the 170th Annual Gibson County Fair, running July 4-11. Taylor Scott sings the National Anthem live right before launch, and early fair food and dessert concession stands will be open to the public. Admission is $2 per carload; pedestrian walk-ins are free.

Farm Ten 63 partners with local civic groups to host a family-friendly country celebration alongside the fairgrounds, featuring tethered hot air balloon rides, tractor-tire playgrounds, live acoustic sets by Jacob Cloutier and BIG D, and local apple pie tastings. The official Gibson County Fair Fireworks Show launches at dusk, with clear viewing across the Princeton park lots and neighboring festival grounds.

This event integrates into the town's Downtown Chowdown, featuring local food trucks, holiday crafts, children's bounce houses, live music, and late-night public swimming. Instead of traditional fireworks, a patriotic drone light show launches over the park at 10:15 p.m. EDT to cap off the night.
America 250 Watch Party & Reading

Organized by the Daughters of the American Revolution, the community gathers for a watch party as Times Square drops a special mid-year ball at midnight to mark the official start of America's 250th anniversary on July 4th. At midnight, the group processes to the local courtyard or library steps for a live public reading of the Declaration of Independence.
Red, White & Boom Night

The Dubois County Bombers take on the Danville Dans starting at 6:30 p.m., with classic stadium concessions, the traditional YMI tenderloin picnic, and on-field fan games. Thunder Over Patoka

The 22nd annual Thunder Over Patoka is a massive lakefront celebration, with families enjoying beachside crafts and swimming throughout the evening. A professional pyrotechnics display launches over the water; campers already at the reservoir are directed to Section C of the Modern Campground for a designated viewing spot away from the crowded beach. Park entry is $7 per vehicle for Indiana residents ($9 out-of-state).
Ferdinand's 4th of July Celebration

Festivities kick off Friday on the riverfront with live music from Cynthia & the End Times and Whiskey Row on the Main Stage, plus Last Call on the Overlook Stage, capped off with a free drone show over the riverfront at 9:15 p.m. The celebration continues on July 4 with performances from Hall Pass and the Downtown Band. Food trucks along Veterans Boulevard and numerous downtown restaurants will be serving up options all weekend.
City-Wide Fireworks Viewing

The fireworks show can be seen from nearly anywhere along the riverfront, with shows launched simultaneously from the downtown riverfront, Southern Little League fields, Owensboro Sportscenter/Moreland Park, and Owensboro Warehouse Leasing (the former GE plant site) to ensure visibility across the city. Spectators can tune their radios to 92.5 FM WBKR for a specially synchronized patriotic soundtrack during the show.

Madisonville's biggest weekend of the year returns, celebrating America's 250th anniversary with three days of national touring acts, food trucks, vendors, and a beer garden on Friday and Saturday. Friday's lineup features All-4-One, Color Me Badd, The Sugarhill Gang, and Quad City DJ's. Saturday brings The Band Perry, The LACS, Ashland Craft, and Myles Gee, with fireworks immediately following the concert. Sunday closes out with Praise in the Park (lineup TBA). The festival draws more than 40,000 visitors annually, and Mayor Kevin Cotton encouraged visitors to book hotel rooms early given the expected turnout.
HOPKINSVILLE:

A two-night classic rock concert series on the resort patio featuring the Lindsey Lane Band. The series builds to "Rumble Over Rough," the biggest fireworks show in lake history, launching at dark (around 9:15 p.m.) directly over the water.

A free children's zone with bounce houses, inflatables, and the park's newly opened splash pad runs 4-8 p.m. Live music includes local singer-songwriter Josh Merritt from 5-7 p.m. and Louisville party band Radiotronic from 7:30-9 p.m. The grand finale fireworks display launches over the Vastwood Park lake at 9 p.m. On-site food trucks include J's Good Grub, Los Amigos, Hello Pop, and Sunny Daze, with local civic groups serving hand-dipped ice cream and shaved snow cones.
