As a kid, I vividly remember my parents stopping at Krispy Kreme when the red light flickered on. If you don’t know, the red light, or 'hot light,' is activated when the store has hot and fresh glazed doughnuts available. Additionally, when the light is on, folks can get a free one with their purchase.
When we were in the neighborhood, my parents would always make a detour to let each of us kids claim our free Krispy Kreme Original Glazed Doughnut. The fresh versions are so much better than prepackaged ones, but I’ll admit it’s probably been years since I’ve had one. However, that might change this weekend.
Krispy Kreme Original Glazed Doughnuts Deal
Krispy Kreme is offering customers a limited-time doughnut deal for Labor Day Weekend, running from Thursday, Aug. 29, through Monday, Sept. 2. During that time, folks can get a dozen Krispy Kreme Original Glazed Doughnuts for just $2 with the purchase of any dozen doughnuts or 16-count minis at regular price. You can order in store or online by applying promo code "BOGO2" at checkout.
Krispy Kreme Deal Limitations
According to the national doughnut chain, customers are limited to two dozen doughnuts in the shop and drive-thru. The limit is one dozen for those utilizing the app or website for delivery or pickup. Considering a dozen Krispy Kreme Original Glazed Doughnuts costs $16 before tax, getting a second dozen for just $2 more doesn’t sound too bad if you have a crowd to feed. However, these little delicious circles pack about 190 calories each, so I would definitely pace yourself.
