Well, I would not have expected this! Do you think you know which Kentucky city has the loudest talkers in America?

We all have been out in a public setting and have noticed people talking entirely too loud, having a phone call on speaker, chewing loudly, listening to music and singing out loud, and the list goes on. Some of us are even guilty of doing these things. The worst is when people are talking throughout a movie at the theater. In any event, you know what kind of loud people we are referring to here.

The folks over at Preply set out to find which activities, from putting your phone on speaker in public to chewing loudly, are considered the most annoying among Americans. In addition to that, they surveyed people in every state to ask which of these activities they are guilty of to determine which states are the loudest in public. The study revealed that Kentucky was among the states with the quietest talkers, but it appears that the title doesn’t hold true for the entire state.

Kentucky City Ranked as the Loudest Talkers in America

In addition to ranking the states, they also ranked cities in the United States based on loud talkers. While one might think that a city like Chicago or New York City would top a list like this, it was a city in Kentucky that has the loudest talkers in America. That "honor" goes to Louisville. Surprised?

According to Preply:

Coming in first for the city with the loudest talkers is Louisville, KY, with a score of 94.3 out of 100. When it comes to parents spending time with their kids in public, 1 in 5 allow them to watch videos without headphones. Another 3 in 10 residents say they sing to themselves in public.

Now, I have been to Louisville a lot, and I haven't really noticed the loudness that this study speaks of. Maybe all of the construction going on throughout the city took away from some of the louder people in Louisville. So what do you think? Is Lousiville really the home of the loudest talkers in America?
