When it comes to country music, the fashion found across the genre is almost as memorable as the songs themselves. Through the decades, we've seen artists rock bell bottom pants, massive, bedazzled rodeo belts and countless cowboy hats in all colors and sizes.

We've even seen some of the most iconic hair styles, even outside of country music. In the midst of all of these show-stopping looks, there has been a slightly underrated and undervalued accessory.

That would be the mustache.

Throughout the history of mankind, there have been some pretty stunning pieces of facial hair. Think Burt Reynolds, Tom Selleck, Hulk Hogan, Charlie Chaplin and more. Heck, even legendary physicist Albert Einstein rocked a 'stache.

Country music is no different.

Early on in the genre's history, mustaches began to make their mark. By the '90s and early 2000s, it wasn't uncommon to see something furry on the lips of some of country music's biggest names.

While some artists have opted to shave their facial hair, others have leaned into it and even grown full beards. There's even a new generation of mustached singers and songwriters that are keeping the look alive in the 21st century.
