Lane Closures Planned for I-69 in Vanderburgh County

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced upcoming lane closures for I-69 in Vanderburgh County that will occur between State Road 62 and State Road 66, near Oak Grove Road. During this project, the southbound passing lanes of I-69 will be closed. On top of that, the southbound I-69 on-ramp from State Road 62 will also be closed during this project.

Officials say beginning on or around April 6, crews will begin lane closures on the southbound passing lane of I-69 in Evansville. This lane closure will occur between State Road 62 and State Road 66, near Oak Grove Road. The southbound I-69 on-ramp from State Road 62 will also be closed during this project.

INDOT officials say that these lane closures will begin on or around April 6th. The lane and ramp closures will allow for the first phase of bridge maintenance work on the Oak Grove Road bridge. Work is expected to last through the beginning of June, depending on the weather.

As always, with road construction, please slow down and use extra caution with workers in the area. Their safety is just as important as yours. If the southbound I-69 ramp is a part of your daily commute, you might want to plan ahead an alternative route that will work best for you.
