Meet The New Q Crew Morning Show Co-Host

Hi, I'm the New Q Crew Morning Gal, Lori Mae

Born and raised in southern Indiana, I’m a local girl coming back to radio. A proud graduate of Castle High School, I also attended Indiana University and the University of Southern Indiana before landing my dream job behind the mic. On the weekends, you might find me fishing, baking, binging The Challenge with my husband, working a crossword, or tickling the ivories.

Not My First Radio Rodeo

At 21, I was interning with 99.5 WKDQ when my dream job opened up. Before I knew it, I was waking up at 4 a.m. instead of coming home at 4 a.m. As part of the Donut Holes morning show, my daily gig was handing out donuts somewhere in the tri-state. When our four-person team started to shrink, Jon Prell and I held down mornings my final year with the station. After that, I worked for stations in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and College Station, Texas, before deciding to step away from the airwaves for a while.

What I’ve Been Doing If Not Talking

Radio never really left me, even when I stepped away to grow up a little. I spent more than ten years in the mortgage industry, most recently as a Mortgage Loan Originator with Heritage Federal Credit Union. While completely different from radio, the experience taught me so much. During that time, I also met the love of my life, Chad. We got married on November 13, 2021, and somehow he still puts up with me. He’s helped me grow in countless ways, but most importantly, he reminded me where I belong is on the radio. Fate stepped in when I had the chance to work with Travis during the Blast From the Past series while Melissa was on maternity leave, and that’s when the radio itch came back.
