We are all aware of how fragile life can be. It can be taken away at any given time. That's why it's so very important to not only take care of your body but to make every day count because we aren't guaranteed tomorrow. There are several ways in which a person can pass away. The older I have gotten, the more I have realized that I'm not invincible. It's almost become borderline morbid for me lately, thinking about how my time is one day going to come to an end. I'm nowhere near ready for that, especially with my first child on the way. It's given me a new perspective on life, and it is also making me want to take the steps to take care of my body and take all the preventative measures I can when it comes to my health.
Having said that, I was curious about the leading causes of death in Indiana. So, I went with the most definitive source I could find, which is the Centers for Disease Control. From what I can assess, it appears their list is based on the most recent fatality information regarding Indiana specifically. They have the ten leading causes of death for the state on there, and some of these might surprise you.
