Indiana’s Best Pizza Only Has Three Locations in the Entire State
Indiana pizza lovers! Have you ever had pizza from here before? If so, do you think it's the best pizza in the state?
Who doesn't enjoy pizza? Whether it be hand-tossed, thin crust, or deep dish, no matter what toppings you prefer, there are always some delicious go-to pizzas here in Indiana. We have so many local pizza restaurants that might not get the love that they deserve. From takeout joints and holes-in-the-wall to restaurants, diners, and cafés that serve up some tasty slices of pizza, the options are endless. Honestly, that's where I believe you will find the best pizza in Indiana, not at some of these major pizza chains.
Last year, LoveFood compiled a list of the best pizza place in each state, which you can check out by clicking here. What they chose for Indiana was something completely different than another source. Reader's Digest recently compiled a similar list, and they claim that another local pizza chain is the best in the state of Indiana. I don't care who you are, when you are a pizza lover, and you see something like this pop up on your newsfeed, you're naturally curious as to what the best place to get pizza is in your state. Granted, a list like this is completely subjective. Everyone has their own preferences, especially when it comes to pizza. In any event, let's check out what Reader's Digest says is the best place to get pizza in Indiana.
This is the Best Pizza in Indiana
Alright, let's get right into it. According to Reader's Digest, the best place to get pizza in Indiana is none other than Jockamo Upper Crust Pizza. Jockamo has locations in Irvington, Lawrence, and one in Greenwood. Here's why they claim this is the best pizza in Indiana:
Meat lovers, rejoice! At Jockamo's, you can indulge your carnivorous cravings with a pizza named after Indianapolis author Kurt Vonnegut's famous book Slaughterhouse Five. The crispy crust is loaded with pepperoni, sausage, ham, Italian beef, and bacon. This is pizza for people to settle serious issues over, like whether a hot dog is a sandwich.
I'm not going to lie, I have never had Jockamo Upper Crust Pizza. The pizza no doubt looks amazing! However, I was kind of bummed that a place like Azzip Pizza didn't take home the honor of the best pizza in Indiana. Look, like I said, a list like this is completely subjective. Everyone's tastebuds are different. What might be good to you, might not be to me...especially if it involves putting pineapple on pizza, but that's a whole other debate. While you may disagree with this being named the best pizza place in Indiana, because everyone has their favorite, it still might be worth trying out the next time you visit the Indy area. I mean let's face it, it's kind of hard to mess up pizza anyway!
