According to one study, not only is Evansville the best pizza town in the state of Indiana, but it's also among the best in the nation!

Who doesn't enjoy pizza? Whether it be hand-tossed, thin crust, or deep dish, no matter what toppings you prefer, there are always some delicious go-to pizzas here in Indiana. We have so many local pizza restaurants that might not get the love that they deserve. From takeout joints and holes-in-the-wall to restaurants, diners, and cafés that serve up some tasty slices of pizza, the options are endless.  Honestly, that's where I believe you will find the best pizza in Indiana, not at some of these major pizza chains.

Evansville, more specifically, is home to so many restaurants and pizzerias that include local, regional, and national spots. The options are virtually endless in Evansville. From wood-fired, Neapolitan, New York style, and even Una, it's hard not to find delicious pizzas in town. Perhaps that's why Evansville was named the best pizza town in the state.

Pizello ranked the top 250 cities in America for the best pizzerias, ranked according to their average Google review score. These pizza towns serve everything from traditional pizzas to innovative creations. The Top 10 Cities in the nation for pizza are:

While Evansville didn't make the top ten, we did crack the top 50. The River City was the highest-rated pizza town in Indiana on the list at number 42. That's a pretty big accomplishment! Pizello says the average pizza lover will travel up to 26 minutes for their favorite pizza. Luckily, you won't have to travel too far in Indiana for some great pizza in the Hoosier State.
