The Tenderloin Sandwich

There are few things more "Hoosier" than a gigantic pork tenderloin sandwich. The sandwich is known throughout the state because of its popularity, but also because the pork tenderloin itself is often so big, that it makes the sandwich buns look comically small. An article from Eater highlights the popularity of the tenderloin sandwich, and even has this to say about Indiana's unofficial state sandwich:

The pork tenderloin sandwich is central to the state’s cultural identity. Some say it’s exactly like the people in Indiana: simple, not too showy, sometimes a little too big for its britches. Above all, it’s familiar and reliable — and to a displaced Hoosier (as I once was), it’s home.

So where do you find Indiana's famous pork tenderloin sandwich?  Just about everywhere in the state has a local restaurant that serves up this Hoosier delicacy. I mean there are multiple tenderloin trails across the state where you can travel and try several different sandwiches.  However, one restaurant is known for serving up some massive sandwiches.

Indiana Diner Serves Up a MASSIVE Pork Tenderloin Sandwich

Located in Edinburgh, Indiana is the Edinburgh Diner.  This diner is known for its "Famous Breaded Pork Tenderloin Sandwich" which has more than 16 oz of breaded pork tenderloin on a comically small bun (even though the bun is actually a normal burger bun).   The Edinburgh Diner's famous pork tenderloin sandwich is massive, but the price tag is not, you can get one of these bad boys for $9.99!

According to the video below the Edinburgh Diner's signature pork tenderloin can feed about four people.  That's a whole lot of tenderloin, so you'll want to come hungry!
