I Wonder What Happened To The Boat Named ‘Titanic 2′
Mark Wilkinson has a lot of guts. No one has made an Edsel II or a Hindenburg II...but what the heck, Mark decided to test fate and name his own ship after the failure that was the Titanic. Unfortunately for Wilkinson, fate won and Titanic II sunk on its maiden voyage.
The Birmingham, UK resident was left clinging to the side of the boat as it sunk under the water until the harbor master rescued him. The 40-year-old has since had to endure a non-ending stream of Titanic jokes.
Titanic II sunk due to a 6-inch hole -- not caused by an iceberg -- in the hull.
Sad news all around, though we're guessing it probably wasn't as sad as that other thing named 'Titanic II.'
