Illinois Museum is Home to Four Batmobiles, Including the Original
Grab your cape and head to Volo because that's where you'll find the original 1966 Batmobile.
Batman is HOT right now. And I'm not talking about the steamy scenes between Robert Pattinson and Zoe Kravitz, though they're part of the Batman-hotness... because the new movie is giving everyone nostalgic Batman vibes.
But did you know you can actually visit a ton of those early Batmobiles here in Illinois?
In the little town of Volo with a little over 5,000 residents, you'll find four Batmobiles.
That's not all you'll find, but even just those four cars are quite impressive!
The Volo Museum, which you might have heard referred to as the Volo Auto Museum, is home to the 'mobiles,' and over thirty other exciting looking exhibits.
They even have dinosaurs... which I'm still undecided on, you know it makes me a little nervous but I think when I head out there this spring for a visit I'll warm up to the Brontosaurus.
Jim from the Volo Museum stopped by Good Day Stateline this past week to talk about the 1966 Batmobile and a big event they're hosting next weekend, Princess and Superhero Day!
The best part of that event, it's free for kids!
P.S. We're always have fun on Good Day Stateline, you can catch the show weeknights at 5:30 and 11pm on FOX39.
