Southern Indiana Brewery Hosting Adult Coloring Contest on Valentine’s Day
Coloring is for kids, right? Wrong. There's no rule that says you can't still grab a coloring book, some crayons, or colored pencils, and spend some time making a picture that is pleasing to the eye just because you now have a monthly car payment and other adult responsibilities. One popular brewery in downtown Evansville is giving you the best of both worlds by letting you color like a kid while enjoying a beer like an adult.

I don't do it as much as I probably should, but I find taking a few minutes to color something helps me relax by taking my mind off whatever is stressing me out and forcing me to focus on staying inside the lines and making whatever picture I'm coloring look nice. True story, I have a pack of colored pencils and a Mandalorian coloring book in one of my desk drawers at the station for those times when I just need a break.
I'm not sure if they'll have Star Wars-themed coloring pages, but Myriad Brewing Company on Southeast 1st Street in downtown Evansville is giving you and your special someone (if they exist) the chance to do something a little different for Valentine's Day with an adult coloring contest from 4:00 until 10:00 PM.
All you need to participate is show up at Myriad during that time. They'll provide the coloring sheet and the colored pencils, although they say you are welcome to bring your own pencils or crayons if you want. Just don't bring any type of paint, that's too messy.
Then, it's just a matter of putting whatever artistic skills to work while enjoying one of their craft beers (I recommend their PB Puff Peanut Butter Porter if they have it on tap). When you're finished, turn it in to whoever is working behind the bar, then enjoy another beer to celebrate your work of art.*
*Drinking beer is not required to participate.
After all the entries are reviewed, the brewery will announce the winner sometime on Wednesday on its Facebook page and award whoever that is a $25 gift card to the brewery. Be sure to stop by and let your inner Bob Ross shine.
