As I told my wife yesterday, 'sometimes I like to fly by the seat of my pants.'  After my broadcast at the Grand Ole Opry on Friday, the plan was to stay in Nashville to see what kind of fun we could find.  We found more fun than I ever expected thanks to a friend in the record business and one of Nashville's biggest hit makers, Brad Paisley. Not only didy friend hook me up with tickets to see Brad Paisley's concert that happened to be in town Saturday at the Bridgestone Arena, but near the end of the show, he grabs me and tells me to follow the crowd of Nashville industry types.  As I follow the massive line of people, I realize we are going on the stage.  So I look around and see openers, Danielle Bradbery and Chris Young.  I dang near step on Randy Houser.  Even the real Carrie Underwood was there ( not a hologram) having sang 'Remind Me.'. And then there was me...in front of 20,000 fans.  It was a good start to a birthday week for this old man.
