Daviess County, KY Student Honored For Being a Hero

When we first moved to Daviess County, KY, I enrolled my son at Whitesville Elementary. Even working with Indiana school systems for many years, I was amazed at how incredible the rural elementary school was and especially impressed with their Leader in Me program. This program sets all students on a leadership path. It teaches them to step up and be confident.

Looks like the program works!  A Daviess County sophomore, that I met as a third grader is being hailed as a hero because of his confidence and decision making skills that saved a life.

Congratulations, Eric!! Doesn't surprise me a bit, you are amazing!
