Darius Rucker Goes Gray for ‘Undercover Boss’ Appearance
Darius Rucker, is that you? The country singer reveals that he'll appear on an upcoming episode of Undercover Boss in which he visits Austin, Texas, to discover up-and-coming musicians.
"The jig's up! I went undercover in Austin to scout out some incredible musicians on #UndercoverBoss. Watch May 12 at 8/7c on @CBS!!" he writes on Twitter beside a caption of his transformation from country star to old man in Western wear.
Undercover Boss is a television series that typically has high-level corporate executives leaving their plush offices to take low-level jobs within their companies. The boss is disguised as a new employee and comes to learn the day-to-day operations of their companies and meet the people who work for them.
Rucker's cameo on the television show comes a month before he returns to Nashville for his 2017 Darius and Friends concert for St. Jude. The benefit concert, a fundraiser for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, will be held on June 5 at the Ryman Auditorium.
While special guests have yet to be announced, in previous years Rucker has invited famous friends like Luke Bryan, Randy Houser, Jamey Johnson, Charles Kelley and Kenny Rogers to perform at the show.
“This concert is a real highlight for me every year,” Rucker says. “And I couldn’t do it without the support of my friends who turn out to perform, tell stories and make this a memorable night for the fans, who are here from around the world.”
