Covance Clinical Research Tour

For those of you who may be thinking about the entering a paid clinical research study at the Covance facility in Evansville, we would like to provide you with a brief overview of the steps involved to earn money while making a difference in potentially millions of lives.

The process begins with a phone screening at our call center, which is always open, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The screening consists of critical pre-qualification questions concerning your medical history including medicines you currently take. During this screening, please remember to be thorough and honest in your answers, because in the end, your safety is our priority!

After completing the phone screen, qualifying volunteers will be scheduled for a screening appointment at the clinic. These in-person screenings usually take about 2-4 hours to complete, and volunteers should remember to bring a current, valid, government ID as well as follow any fasting requirements that may be needed for this appointment.

Once you are checked in for your screening appointment, you will be given an Informed Consent document to review and sign before any further screening procedures begin. The purpose of this detailed document is to explain what is being tested and your role in the study. A trained staff member will be present to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have. When you sign the document, you have shown that you understand it, but you are still not obligated to proceed with the study.
