It has officially come to the point where the Stay-at-Home order has taken my sanity.

We all have that one thing that we use as an escape or distraction from every day life.  For some of us that’s reading, meditating, shopping or whatever gets us through the day.  For me it’s the gym.  Yup…I’m that guy.

First off, yes, I’ve tried at home workouts.  They do the job but it’s not the same.  You can only have an overly enthusiastic trainer tell you how strong and mighty you are becoming so many times.  Plus, the fact of sweating all over your living room carpet is kind of gross.  For me, nothing beats actually going somewhere to workout.  You have options.  One day you are dying on the squat rack and the next you are admiring how good you look doing curls in front of a mirror.  We’ve all been there right?

After so long you also start to miss the people.  Those familiar faces that you don’t mind asking for a spot and can’t wait to give a hard time for not being at the gym a day or two.  That being said, as soon as we can go back, we know that gyms will be filled to the brim and we won’t feel as sentimental.

Whenever that day does finally come you will see me with the biggest smile on my face.  One from pure excitement, two from knowing just how sore I’m going to be the next day and three from the amount of pre-workout that will be coursing through my body.  Here’s hoping that day comes soon because it’s going to be a good one.
