Plundering Evansville: Exploring Chains with Free Birthday Deals

Many places offer discounted items for your birthday, but these Evansville chains provide some pretty sweet goodies completely free of charge.

There’s an app for just about every restaurant chain out there, and I think my wife, Amber, has every single one of them downloaded on her iPhone. Every day, while I’m at work, I receive at least one text from her with screenshots of app alerts promoting some sort of deal. That said, I’m not complaining—many of those promos actually turn out to be pretty great.

Amber recently celebrated her birthday, and to mark the occasion, we decided to go on a little adventure. It was a Monday, and many of the local places we wanted to visit were closed. So, we ventured into Evansville to take advantage of all the free birthday deals Amber was offered through her collection of restaurant chain apps. Since most of the deals had to be redeemed on her birthday, we decided to hit the city in one fell swoop.

Now, I think it’s important to note that there were many more chains offering birthday deals than the ones we visited. However, we chose to visit only those offering FREE items as part of their birthday promotion. We spent a few hours zigzagging our way through the city to find the best ones, and the only thing we spent money on was the gas we used to get from place to place.
