Boston Market Frozen Meals Recalled Due to Glass Contamination
Check your freezer. If you recently bought Boston Market brand Home Style Meals Bonless Pork Rib Shaped Patty with BBQ Sauce and Mashed Potatoes, DO NOT EAT IT! There is a possibility it may be contaminated with pieces of glass or hard plastic. Yikes!
In a press release Tuesday, the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced the makers of the product, Bellisio Foods, were recalling "approximately 173,376 pounds" of the frozen, not-ready-to-eat entrée after receiving an unspecified number of consumer complaints.
The USDA is classifying the recall as a Class 1 meaning, "This is a health hazard situation where there is a reasonable probability that the use of the product will cause serious, adverse health consequences or death."
The 14-ounce black cardboard box packages were produced between December 7th, 2018 and February 15th, 2019, and feature a "Best By" dates of of 12/07/2019 with lot code 8341, 01/04/2020 with lot code 9004, 01/24/2020 with lot code 9024, or 02/15/2020 with lot code 9046, on the label.

Despite the consumer complaints, there have been no reports of injury as a result of eating the product.
If you or someone you know has this product in their freezer, the USDA urges you to throw it or, or return it to the store where you purchased it.
