Meet Brandy Deffendoll. She became $1,000 richer this week playing the WKDQ Cash Cow!

Brandy and her boyfriend, Jay, live with their two kids, a boy and a girl in Boonville. When she's not raising them and trying to keep them entertained (which any parent can tell you is like having two full-time jobs), she works as a nurse at Ascension-St. Vincent, which over the past 18 months I'm sure has been an adventure, to put it mildly.

Brandy has been a longtime fan of the station and regularly answers our Q Crew Question, so when we called her earlier this week to surprise her with the good news, we decided to be a little deceptive before revealing the real reason we were calling. Take a listen below to hear her reaction:

As if winning $1,000 is great enough, Brandy is also still in the running to win the $10,000 grand prize that will be awarded in a few weeks. You could be next! Listen every weekday at 20-after the hour each hour from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM to get the Cash Cow code words. Each word you enter gives you a shot at winning the $1,000 daily prize like Brandy and puts you in the running to win that $10,000 grand prize. The more words you enter each day, the better your chances are of winning.

We know you're busy, and time may get away from you, so be sure to have the WKDQ app on your phone, and turn on "Exclusives" under Notifications to get reminders throughout the day to tune in for the words. Don't have our app, get it now by entering your phone number in the box.
