Apparently, the best all-you-can-eat buffet in Kentucky is not what you would expect...or at least not where you would expect to find it.

I know that buffets sometimes get a bad rep from people, but I love them. Let's be honest, when you go to a restaurant, sometimes one plate just isn't enough. Buffets allow you to eat as much as you want. Growing up, my parents always went out to eat at various buffets like Golden Corral, Siroloin Stockade, Ryan's, Old Country Buffet, and Ponderosa Steakhouse. As a kid, they were never places that I really wanted to go to. However, the older I got, I began to love a good buffet. Something about "all-you-can-eat" just makes me happy, because it reminds me of my childhood. As you know, there are all kinds of buffets in Kentucky, from traditional buffets to Amish buffets, and of course, Chinese buffets.

Over the years, it seems like major buffets have kind of died out, aside from Chinese buffets. There is an abundance of those all throughout Kentucky. But a good buffet full of comfort food? Those are far and few between. That's why I was very surprised when I saw that one website recently named the best all-you-can-eat buffet in each state, and the restaurant they chose from Kentucky was one of those buffets. In fact, even more surprising is where it is located.

This is the Best All-You-Can-Eat Buffet in Kentucky

Reader's Digest searched the country for delicious buffets to find the best all-you-can-eat buffet in each state. When it comes to Kentucky's best buffet, it can be found in Lexington. The odd thing is that this buffet is also located inside of a grocery store. That's something I have never seen before. Good Foods Co-Op Cafe was crowned the best all-you-can-eat buffet in Kentucky.

Here's what Reader's Digest had to say about Good Foods Co-Op Cafe:

Good Foods has an amazing hot lunch buffet and salad bar. The best part is that they source many ingredients local to Lexington. In their online reviews, people rave about the way they cook their kale—and if they can make something that healthy delicious too, you know this buffet is worth a try.

Good Foods Co-Op Cafe, as with most buffets, usually rolls out different items each day. So, you'll get a little something different each time you visit. On top of the buffet, they also have a cafe menu that you can order from too. You can check that out by clicking here.
