Hot Wheels has been a staple of childhood toys for generations, and now a new immersive and interactive exhibit is coming to Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Ever since 1968, Hot Wheels cars have been a popular toy among kids. All of the different types of cars that have been made throughout the years combined with the different types of tracks that you could create for them to "race" on are astonishing. I can remember growing up and wishing that I could ride in a car on one of those tracks kind of like they did in "Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves".

If you grew up playing with Hot Wheels or your kids love playing with the cars and tracks, there will be a new exhibit coming to the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky that you will want to check out.

Hot Wheels: Race to Win Exhibit

Hot Wheels: Race to Win will make a pit stop beginning May 27, 2022, continuing through September 25, 2022, at the National Corvette Museum. The exhibit itself was created by The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis in partnership with Mattel. This will be a Hot Wheels lover's dream. According to the press release:

In the exhibit Hot Wheels: Race to Win, visitors can be part of a dynamic race team working together to build and test the fastest and safest speed machines on the planet using Hot Wheels diecast cars to experiment and play. This behind-the-scenes look at the thrilling world of racing investigates the scientific process for designing super-fast cars and helps families who have the need for speed understand how it is achieved.

But that's not all visitors will get to experience at this Hot Wheels exhibit. The press release goes on to say:

Children and families will love the Pit Stop Challenge in which they can race the clock – and their family and friends – to change tires and refuel cars. A 6-lane downhill speed track, booster power track, adjustable angles track, and timing track are just a few of the ways visitors will be able to test their theories regarding the science of racing and cause and effect. Real race car parts, authentic artifacts, and captivating memorabilia including Corvettes from the National Corvette Museum’s collection will round out the experience.
