Accuride Henderson Temporarily Suspends Operations Due to Storm Damage
A majority of the headlines coming out of Saturday night's severe weather event are focused on the damage in Newburgh. However, parts of Henderson also took damage include the Accuride Plant on Adams Lane.
The company announced Sunday afternoon it will be suspending operations to give them time to assess damage to the roof of their manufacturing plant. Here's the full statement from Marketing Director, Grant Hatton:
March 29, 2020 – As a precautionary measure, Accuride Corporation has temporarily suspended operations at its Henderson, KY wheel manufacturing facility to assess and repair damage to portions of the plant’s roof caused by a severe storm on March 28, 2020. Crews are assessing the damage and expect to quickly make necessary repairs and resume operations. Associates should not report to work on Monday, March 30th and may contact their immediate supervisor or Human Resources with any questions.
As Mr. Hatton states, if you or someone you know works at Accuride, do not report to work on Monday (March 30th, 2020). If you have any questions, contact your immediate supervisor, or Human Resources.
