DIY Hack to Keep Flying Insects Out of Your House

I saw this hack on a Facebook page that I follow called Recipe Secrets Revealed which shows how effective a simply mixture of a few items that you already have in your home can keep all flies, mosquitoes, and other flying insects away. All you have to do is create the mixture and place it in a bowl in your kitchen. So, what is the mixture? Here's what the post says you need:

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 cup olive oil (or other vegetable oil)
  • 1/2 cup shampoo

To Make It:

  1. Mix half a cup of vinegar, half a cup of olive oil, and half a cup of shampoo together.
  2. Place the bowl in the kitchen and wait for bugs to flock to it. Leave the mixture out for a couple of hours or until you feel the insects have been caught.
  3. Repeat if necessary.

According to the comments, a lot of people have tried it and swear by it working. It's certainly worth trying out for yourself to see the results too. Not only that, but any of the other hacks mentioned above should prove to be useful to you as well.
