Jon Prell

I have been at WKDQ for 13 years and have loved every minute of it. My career started in Southern California and I arrived in Evansville in 1994. I have three children that keep me very busy and the rare opportunity to go out and not have a six foot mouse serving your table is a rare and welcome treat. I love motorcycles and classic country and even host the WKDQ Country Classics show every Saturday from 6-10am. If I can I can ever play a song for you, let me know at wkdq.com.

Father's Day is right around the corner and has always been a bitter-sweet day for me since I lost my dad in 2002. Being a father myself is the greatest reward of my life even though I am nowhere near as good a dad as mine was, but I never stop trying to be as good as he would want me to be.

If you are like most people, you rinse the dishes after dinner and put them in the dishwasher. You get it all nice and loaded up, add the soap, close and lock the door and hit start. Then you start hearing a bunch of very strange noises as the cycle starts.

How Far Would You Go to Retrieve Your Dropped Cell Phone Like A Toilet Or Porta-Potty?

If you think the title question will result in some sort of humorous blog about people dropping their cell phones, you would be wrong. This is a story about dropping a cell phone, but this story is very serious, in fact, deadly serious and is no laughing matter.

Jon Wants To Know – Why Is Camping In An RV Not Camping?

Leslie and I were talking about this on the morning show today and I fail to see what the problem is. I might have mentioned a couple of times that we are going camping this weekend at Lake Rudolph and I am not really looking forward to it. My idea of "roughing it" is taking a luke-warm shower at the Comfort Inn and having a refrigerator too small to chill the wine....what a nightmare!!!

I don't think I need to spend a lot of time here pointing how bullying has become one of society's top problems along with the dangers and long-term effects bullying has on it's victims.
